Tudo que tem um começo tem um fim. E esta é minha última mixtape. Ciclos se encerram. Outros começam. Mas depois de 10 anos, o Quem Mexeu No Meu iPod termina aqui. Com músicas sobre o fim. Tão misterioso, tão abrupto, mas tão certo. Foram mais de 170 mixtapes, dentro dos convidados e das rápidas. No total foram quase 7 dias de músicas. Todas interligadas. Todas com um certo sentido. Sentido para mim. Pessoalmente, 106 trilhas sonoras de 106 filmes que se passaram na minha cabeça e me acompanharam nesses anos. Agradeço a todos que pararam para ouvir em algum momento as coisas que eu queria expressar de alguma forma.

Muitas vezes um passo para a frente não pode ser desfeito. Muitas vezes um passo para a frente significa seis passos para trás. E aí, como você dorme? E aí, como você vive? Como todo mundo vive? Essa é a sombra de pensamento que me acompanha. Como todos podem estar sorrindo? Eles não estão vendo ou vivendo o que estão na frente delas? E pernas não param quietas, e os pensamentos voam e o ar cessa e o peito dói. Eu realmente só queria andar meio desligado no meio da multidão. Dopado. Ou desligado sozinho no meu canto. E desta vez eu consegui. Mas eu não estou realmente sozinho. Posso estar, mas não estou. É complicado. Eu preciso tirar um retrato da minha cabeça. Analisar o que tem lá dentro. Pelo menos uma única tentativa antes de dar adeus a tudo que eu conheço. Como eu durmo? Com calor. Com frio. Com ansiedade. Com sede. Durmo lembrando dos momentos de embriaguez solitária em lugares desconhecidos. Durmo com vontade de repetir tudo isso e para sempre. Durmo ansioso querendo chegar logo aos sonhos e aos pesadelos. Durmo para chegar neste lugar descontrolado que é a minha imaginação. Meu "kumomi" dos sonhos aleatórios. Meus sonhos invertidos, onde o que está em cima, está lá embaixo e vice-versa. Porque o chão é azul e ele me faz rir. Espero conseguir o que preciso.

Any Shuffle 97 2007

2007 foi um ano bem foda para a música. Os números de download cresceram, fazendo com que a forma de como ouvimos música também mudou. Os mp3s players ficaram mais populares - fomos dos poucos MBs ao Giga em um pulo. E eu feliz com meus 512MB da Philips. Muitas músicas no bolso. E o Radiohead decidiu que você pagaria o quanto quisesse pelo In Rainbows (um clássico). E foi um ano musicalmente FODA para mim. Foi o ano que criei junto com o Givago Oliveira (um dos meus gurus musicais) o Quem Mexeu No Meu iPod (o blog só iria decolar no ano seguinte). Estávamos ouvindo tanta música boa que queríamos dividir com nossos amigos. Enfim nos tornamos digitais. Muitos Scrobbles no Last.fm. Mas foi também meu primeiro ano de festival de músicas. Meu primeiro festival internacional e foi logo para ver a Bjork (saudades Tim Festival). Descobri o eletrônico, fui pra pista de dança e aprendi a dançar. Espero que dancem comigo nesta mixtape animadinha.

Special Shuffle 11 Ctrl + Alt + Del

No dia 16 de junho de 1997 o mundo da música sofreu um recente reboot. Depois de dois discos no embalo do rock alternativo britânico e mais palatáveis ao público (Pablo Honey, 1993 e The Bends, 1995), hits consagrados (Creep, Fake Plastic Tree, High and Dry), turnês de arena em inúmeros países, fazendo a abertura do R.E.M. e uma pressão dos fãs e das produtoras para algo novo, eis que surge OK Computer. Aclamado pela crítica como o melhor disco da banda de Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O' Brien e Phil Selway, o trabalho foi resultado da liberação criativa da parte da gravadora Capitol Records para a superbanda lançar o que quisesse.

O disco mostra o grupo Radiohead experimentando em diversos sentidos musicais com as estruturas das canções, processos de gravação (Thom Yorke chegou a cantar dentro de uma sala de vidro) e a incorporação de influencias ambient, avant garde e eletrônica - um verdadeiro compilado de referências que vão desde os Beatles, Bitches Brew, de Miles Davis até compositores contemporâneos como Ennio Morricone, famoso pelas suas trilhas sonoras de Western.

Comparado com "The Dark Side of the Moon" por alguns críticos, OK Computer foi escrito por Thom Yorke inspirado e observando a velocidade em que o mundo avançava nos anos 90. As letras com diversos pontos de vista e personagens são mais abstratas que seus trabalhos anteriores, como fragmentos de um diário nervoso, imagens de manifestações políticas, a angústia vivida nos subúrbios e abstrações sobre o tempo e espaço e pessoas enlouquecendo com o passar do rápido tempo. Soa atual? OK Computer profetizou o sentimento de uma geração que se arrasta por meio do consumo compulsivo, pressões de uma sociedade superficial e que demanda superficialidade dela mesma, além de uma sensação de neutralidade e falta de emoção.

OK Computer rendeu à banda sua primeira performance no Festival Glastonbury, diversos prêmios (entre eles um Grammy), clássicos como Paranoid Android, Karma Police e No Surprises, presença audiovisual fortalecida com clipes e um documentário sobre a turnê.

OK Computer é o som do rock sendo tratado como um vírus numa urgente necessidade para ser decodificado.

If you said something, I'm sorry. I didn't listen to it very well. Haven't got the clue to where I'm going, but I know it's not happening for the last time. Every notion of my movement is uncertain.
This week I have passed in unknown, all the animals and the people have reached the category of signs of the enigma. If I have ever truly worried about giving in to insanity, it has been here and now. The immersion in the stigmas, the objects, the visions ... I need it. We need, and I want it so much.
