Nova música de Thom Yorke

Um tributo à falecida mulher de Mark Mulcahy, cantor e compositor do Miracle Legion e do Polaris, reuniu nomes como Thom Yorke, do Radiohead, Michael Stipe, do R.E.M., Dinosaur Jr., Mercury Rev, The National e Frank Black, do Pixies, em um álbum de covers com lançamento previsto para 14 de setembro, na Europa.

Melissa Mulcahy, mulher de Mark, morreu repentinamente em 2008 deixando duas filhas gêmeas, e, por conta disso, o músico vem enfrentando uma série de problemas financeiros. Ciao My Shining Star: The Songs of Mark Mulcahy foi gravado para tentar ajudar Mulcahy, e traz 21 faixas. Outras 20 serão lançadas em formato digital, incluindo uma versão feita pelo grupo Buffalo Tom. Dois shows também estão sendo planejados para arrecadar fundos em prol de Mulcahy.
